pride

Pride is a tough pill to swallow. But sometimes it has to be done. And in doing so, you may shove your foot in your mouth, eat crow, and have your heart ripped to shreds. You'll probably regret handing out the olive branch with your humiliation dripping from it, at first. But, still, it should to be done. Even if it means saying everything you've done wrong and not getting a single regret told to you in return. No, not everything is your fault. But a lot of people will let you say it and not correct you. Because their pride is hard to swallow, too.

I'll tell you this: swallowing your pride once is hard. Swallowing it twice is damn hard. Swallow it three times and you start to get the hang of it. You have to decide if you want to be the kind of person who admits what's wrong with you and take the first step towards a reconciliation or if you want to be the sort of person who stares at someone blankly and lets them humilate themselves while you sit there, a smug smirk slapped across your face.

I know which I want to be. Do you?

hey the pride thing was good, you are right on, the more you do it, the easier it becomes. The kind of pride you talked about is poison to your soul.
